Why neck and decolette protection is essential for anti-ageing
We’re all aware that face care is important for clear skin and a youthful look, but did you know that protecting your neck and upper chest area is just as crucial? Products like firming lotion, neck wrinkle cream, decolletage cream, neck-tightening cream and neck-firming creams are flooding the market as awareness increases. So which are the best products to use, and what do you need to consider in your hunt for the perfect product for your needs and skin type?
Moisturiser and exfoliant
The hunt for supple, well-moisturised skin is as important for the neck and decollete area as it is the face. Beauty professionals recommend sticking to products for your normal skin type, whether that’s dry, oily or medium. A good moisturiser will aim for firmness as well as a youthful look and will work by targeting tired and dull skin cells for the boost they need. Opt for an illuminating moisturiser if you want to inject a warmth or sparkle to your look - these types of products are great for applying before an evening out!
Line smoother
A line-smoothing product is perfect for those hoping to achieve a youthful look. They work like a neck wrinkle cream and tackle not just existing wrinkles but ones that are yet to form. Pick a serum-based product if you’re worried about over-saturating your skin with too much product. Serums are the perfect type of neck-tightening cream because they’re silky soft and light to the touch, which means you can use as much or as little as you like without any kind of oily, sticky feel.
Contouring cream
Not just reversed for the Kim K glamour pusses of this world, a good contouring cream helps to lift and brighten your neck and chest area. Contrary to what complicated YouTube makeup tutorials might have you believing, contouring cream is easy to use and a simple, effective addition to your daily routine. Aiming to reduce skin elasticity, it’s formulated without parabens, sulfates and phthalates meaning it’s the ideal, guilt-free firming lotion.
Cleavage firming lotion
It’s sad but true - as your age goes up, other assets are known to go south. Tackle this before the problem begins with a cleavage firming lotion designed to leave skin feeling firmer than ever before. Packed with essential oils, many decollete creams also contain a hint of shimmer which is ideal to give your confidence a boost along with your neckline. What are you waiting for - add a cleavage- firming lotion to your shopping list, pronto!
